Lakme illuminating eyeshadow palette – French Rose

Hey everyone! Welcome to my blog.

Lakme’s out with one new launch after the other. The latest being two eye shadow paletts FRENCH ROSE

& ROYAL PERSIA. These are limited edition ones by none other than designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Lakme’s previous eye shadow palettes in Gold & Silver didn’t really impress me. But me being me could not resist the temptation of checking out a new launch.  Here I will be reviewing French Rose.

The outer packaging is foam lined on the inner side making sure of no breakage of the eyeshadows. You can safely travel with this one.

The palette is a basic plastic one with a good mirror. Also contains a double ended smudger which as we all know is not going to be used for eye shadow application. It shuts firmly.

Price: Rs 995

Quantity: 7.5 g

What’s Good:

Straight up it’s the pigmentation. This is a warm neutral shade palette with a pop of coral & pink color. It has a beautiful mix of matt, shimmer & glitter in it. Is very versatile as in can be used  for an everyday neutral look to a party / festive look.

The shades in this one will complement all skin tones.

The pink and coral shades are the most pigmented.

What’s Not:

The third shade is a bit difficult to blend. The 5th shade is is the least pigmented & hardly blends. All colors have fall out.

On the whole I love this palette though the cons are pretty negligible. I have been using this palette for the most part of last month. Though the 3rd shade is not very blend able it can be used as a base shade & for the inner corner of the eye to brighten it.

Will I purchase this product again?

Yes I will. if you’re on the lookout for a good palette in the Indian market, I would suggest to go for it.Do share your thoughts on this product if you’ve already used it.
